Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and goal-driven Business Development Associate to identify, acquire, and onboard new merchant partners. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our business network, driving growth, and strengthening the company’s market presence through effective relationship management and strategic execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential merchants and business opportunities.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective merchants through cold calls, networking, and events.
  • Present company offerings and demonstrate the benefits of partnership.
  • Lead meetings and presentations to communicate the value of our services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with new merchants.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring all compliance and documentation are completed.
  • Provide support and training to ensure smooth merchant integration.
  • Maintain long-term relationships to drive merchant satisfaction and retention.
  • Track merchant performance and report progress to management.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align business growth strategies.
  • Contribute ideas to improve acquisition tools, strategies, and processes.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Proven success in merchant acquisition or partnership roles.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset to understand market trends and performance data.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
