Job Description:

The International Coordination Officer will be responsible for conducting research and coordinating international efforts for Manavsewa Ashram’s outreach programs. This position plays a critical role in managing communication with Nepali communities abroad and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research on Nepali Communities Abroad: Study and research the Nepali people in various countries where they reside in significant numbers.
  • Program Prioritization: Prioritize countries for service and knowledge exchange programs based on primary criteria 
  • Program Documentation: Document detailed information about completed programs using scientific methods and consolidate the information for future reference.
  • Maintain Program Records: Compile photos, videos, financial details, and other necessary documentation from countries where programs have been completed, and maintain up-to-date records for presentation to the board.
  • Communication with Donors: Send letters of gratitude, receipts for financial contributions from individuals abroad, and provide details on how their contributions were utilized via Email, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other authorized communication methods.
  • Fund Coordination: Coordinate with participants to collect commitment funds from countries where programs have been completed, maintain scientific records of chapter officials and members abroad, and ensure regular communication and mutual understanding between Nepal and foreign chapters.
  • Social Media Management: Establish and manage Email IDs, Facebook IDs, Messenger Groups, and WhatsApp Groups for Manavsewa Ashram’s foreign chapters, ensuring regular operational activities and social media posts promoting humanitarian services.
  • Maintain Global Connections: Collect information about generous individuals connecting with Ashram services from foreign countries, securely record it, and maintain ongoing communication and coordination.
  • Track Long-term Support: Document details of individuals providing continuous support even while residing abroad and update the relevant country’s chapter regularly.
  • Diplomatic Relations: Gather information about diplomats and embassy staff appointed from Nepal in various countries, and facilitate communication, coordination, and relationship expansion.
  • Collaboration with NRNA: Update and expand contacts with central and various country-specific NRNA (Non-Resident Nepali Association) groups through research, communication, and coordination efforts.
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Maintain communication and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Communication on Achievements: Regularly send news about significant achievements in the Ashram's services and best wishes for major festivals via Email, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
  • Geopolitical & Cultural Research: Prepare reports on geographical, political, economic, social, and cultural conditions of potential countries for expanding Ashram services.
  • Research on Nepali Diaspora: Study and prepare reports on the economic, emotional, social, and cultural situations of Nepalis residing abroad.
  • Coordinate with Nepali Associations: Communicate and coordinate with Nepali associations and communities abroad.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate and cooperate with other departments within the Ashram to ensure smooth execution of international programs.
  • Weekly Progress Reports: Prepare progress reports, challenges, and opportunities within the department and present them weekly on Fridays.
  • Humanitarian Research: Research and document information about humanitarian organizations working abroad and excelling in providing services.
  • Global Humanitarian Studies: Research and disseminate information regarding studies focusing on humanitarian and social services conducted in other countries.
  • International Awards Research: Gather information about prestigious international awards and their acquisition processes relevant to the Ashram.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Good Communication Skills: Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.
  • Freshers Encouraged to Apply: Strong interest and a willingness to learn about international coordination, communication, and research.
  • Cultural Awareness: A keen understanding of cultural nuances and experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Strong Research Abilities: Capability to conduct thorough research and compile detailed reports on various subjects.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using social media platforms and communication tools (Email, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.).
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and maintain organized records and documentation.
  • Team-Oriented: Willingness to collaborate with different departments within the organization.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel internationally if required.
