Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and collaborative Graphic Design Trainee to join our creative team. As a designer, you will work closely with marketing and commercial teams to create visually compelling designs that align with brand standards and drive business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality, engaging graphics for the Daraz mobile app, desktop, social media and mobile web platforms.
- Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across all platforms.
- Work on various formats including static graphics, GIFs, as needed.
- Use proofreading skills to produce accurate work and be open to design feedback and revisions.
- Handle multiple design tasks and assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Assist fellow designers when necessary and contribute to team success.
- Understand campaign objectives, business priorities, and customer preferences to create relevant visual solutions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and projects.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in graphic design, preferably in an in-house team or agency setting.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of past design works.
Technical Skills:
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Strong knowledge of design principles (composition, typography, color theory).
- Familiarity with Figma and Canva, will be a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
