Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Student Counseling & Guidance
  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to prospective students regarding academic programs, career opportunities, tuition fees, scholarships, and financial aid options.
  • Assist students in selecting the right course based on their academic background, interests, and career aspirations.
  • Address student and parent concerns related to program selection, eligibility criteria, and admission requirements.
  • Offer guidance on visa procedures and international student requirements (if applicable).

 

  1. Admission Process Management
  • Assist students in completing application forms, ensuring all necessary documents (transcripts, recommendation letters, personal statements, etc.) are submitted on time.
  • Evaluate student eligibility based on academic qualifications and other admission criteria.
  • Work closely with the admission team and academic departments to ensure a smooth application review process.
  • Follow up with applicants on their admission status, document submission, and payment of fees.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on admissions statistics and trends.

 

  1. Recruitment & Outreach Activities
  • Represent Embark College at education fairs, school visits, university expos, and corporate events to attract prospective students.
  • Conduct informational seminars, webinars, and campus tours to promote academic programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school counselors, career advisors, and education consultants.
  • Develop and execute student recruitment campaigns via social media, email marketing, and direct outreach.

 

  1. Communication & Relationship Building
  • Act as the primary liaison between students, parents, and the college regarding admission-related queries.
  • Maintain effective communication channels through phone calls, emails, and online chat platforms.
  • Provide prompt responses to inquiries and ensure students have all necessary information to make informed decisions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align communication strategies with enrollment goals.

 

  1. Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Maintain and update the student admission database with accurate information.
  • Track application progress, document submissions, and fee payments.
  • Ensure compliance with college policies, accreditation standards, and data privacy regulations.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: Education, Business Administration, Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline).
  • A Master’s degree is a plus, but not mandatory.

 

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in student admissions, career counseling, or an educational advising role.
  • Experience working in higher education institutions, international student recruitment, or academic consulting is preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Counseling & Advising: Ability to understand students’ needs and guide them effectively.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty.
  • Sales & Persuasion: Ability to influence and encourage prospective students to enroll.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, manage student applications, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all application details and documents are reviewed thoroughly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM software, and admission portals.
