An accountant is a person who handles all the accounting departments. It helps businesses to make financial decisions by helping in the collection, tracking, and correcting the company’s finance.

Roles of Accountant

- An accountant is responsible for financial audits, collecting and adding bank statements.

- Ensuring the accuracy of financial statements throughout the year.

- Helping in preparing a budget forecast.

- Finding budget-related problems and suggestions to the company on how to reduce them and save more.

- Processing tax payments and return as well as managing accounting transactions. 

- Maintain and manage daily logs of transactions in an organized manner.

- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, and balancing of payments and receipts.

- Audit the balance sheets at the end of the month and analyze the budget for next year.

- Ensure timely payments to employees.

Requirements of accountant

- BSc accounting, or another relevant degree.

- Proven work experience as an accountant.

- Experience with various accounting software.

- Can follow procedures including the generally accepted accounting principles.
