CTEVT Special Scholarship Program for Pre-Diploma, Diploma and PCL

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Examination Control Office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, announces an urgent notice for the application process for the entrance examination to the Special Scholarship Program in Technical Education. This program offers free study opportunities for the Dalit, Muslim, Disadvantaged, and Marginalized communities at pre-diploma and diploma/certificate level.

Program Overview

In line with Technical Division's Ch.No. 159, dated 2080.04.16, and the budget and program of the Government of Nepal for the financial year 2080/081, this program aims to balance regional representation by offering free technical education under the special scholarship program for:

• Pre-diploma level: 120 students from Dalit, Muslim, underprivileged, and marginalized communities
• Diploma/Certificate level: 250 students from Dalit, Muslim, disadvantaged, and marginalized communities

Who is Considered as Disadvantaged and Marginalized?

This includes youth, workers, disabled, families of conflict victims/martyrs/people's movement injured, Disadvantage groups listed by the Nepal government, and 22 Janajati groups such as Bankaria, Baram, Bote, Chepang, and others.

How to Apply

The notice is published for the information of all concerned eligible Nepali citizens to submit the application form for the entrance examination.

Note: Different schools are associated with various provinces in Nepal: K = Koshi Pradesh, M = Madhesh Pradesh, Ba = Bagmati Pradesh, G = Gandaki Pradesh, Lu = Lumbini Pradesh, K = Karnali Pradesh, and S.P. = Sudurpashchim Pradesh.

Required Minimum Qualification for the Special Scholarship Program in Technical Education

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) specifies clear guidelines for the minimum educational qualifications required to apply for the Special Scholarship Program at the Pre-Diploma and Diploma levels. Understanding and meeting these criteria are vital for eligibility.

3.1 Minimum Educational Qualification Required for Pre-Diploma Level:

• (a) Before the implementation of the alphabet system: Pass in S.L.C. from a recognized educational institution or an equivalent examination.
• (b) After the implementation of the alphabetization system: A minimum of E grade or equivalent or grade seat received in all subjects of S.E.E.

3.2 Minimum Educational Qualification Required for Diploma Level:

• (a) Before implementation of the alphabet system:

  • S.L.C by taking compulsory mathematics, English, and science subjects from a recognized educational institution.
  • Passed a similar examination or technical SLC related to the program conducted by the council.
  • TSLC/Pre-Diploma level passed with 65.33 percent marks in total.

• (b) After implementation of the alphabetic system:

  • Admission from a recognized educational institution or S.E.E. 1.6 GPA out of 4.0 overall minimum grade point average, taking compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects in the examination.
  • Equivalent or passed by obtaining 68.33 percent marks in the total marks of Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level related to the program conducted by the Council.

4. Locations for Obtaining and Submitting the Application Form for Special Scholarship Program in Technical Education

Candidates interested in the Special Scholarship Program for Technical Education must submit their application forms only in the state of their permanent residence. Below are the locations where the forms can be obtained and submitted, categorized by provinces:
