ON A MISSION TO BUILD AN EMPIRE & LEAVE A LEGACY We have a Glorious Legacy of over a century In 1909, Late Ram Kumar Kedia, laid the foundation of the Organisation. After he migrated from India to Nepal he commenced the business journey as a fabric trader with his sons; Mahabir Prasad Kedia and Brij Lal Kedia. Back in the days they used to sell fabric imported from India through their outlets at Birgunj and Kathmandu. After the demise of our Founder, the hard toil put in by their father was never let down by his descendants. When Nepal was passing through an arduous time in 1933, under the dynamic leadership of Mahabir Prasad Kedia and Brij Lal Kedia the business took its full growth and expanded rapidly in sectors such as agro, steel, textile, food and refinery in Nepal. Kedia also started a hardware business and stepped into the construction sector by forging partnerships with local municipal authorities. Later in the third generation, Late Shankar Lal Kedia, a prominent and visionary industrialist and a social worker, expanded the group business by setting up plants to manufacture corrugated steel, steel furniture, stainless steel and copper utensils, textile, umbrella, socks, wheat flour, among others. The group also focused on importing a number of foreign products by this time. He founded Kautilya, a vernacular business weekly, and also authored more than a dozen books on religion, social service, and literature. Today, the business is being promoted with the harmonious effort of brotherhood. Under the stewardship of Tara Chand Kedia and ably supported by Manoj Kedia, famous for his trade insight and ability to think ahead, the group developed from strength to strength and was able to capture a leadership position in all its key businesses through nonstop esteem creation. The Organisation still maintains a strong presence in Construction, Cement Manufacturing, Automobile, and Banking - which are significant sectors of growth for the country and its people.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in collection of debts prior to legal recovery proceedings, negotiating payments/payment arrangements, handling debtor inquiries, and providing administrative assistance to the team.
  • Coordinate with the Legal team for further legal proceedings
  • To ensure proper management of account receivables by minimizing credit losses and maximizing recoveries.
  • Make sure effective debt collection actions are taken against offending accounts in accordance with legal policies.
  • Ensure the set targets on bad debt recoveries are met.
  • Ensure day-to-day monitoring of all accounts in arrears in coordination with reporting managers.
  • Ensure conformity with the overall organization’s risk management policies and standards.
  • Undertake regular and frequent calls, site visits, and follow-ups to implement remedial strategies and action plans
  • Initiate demand and reminder letters to all defaulting customers and review all credit files for proper documentation and monitoring.
  • Follow up on major debtor accounts assigned to ensure recoveries through calls, demand notices, or any other appropriate means.
  • Other tasks assigned by the concerned authorities required as per the nature of the job

Job Qualification

  • At least Intermediate Level completed
  • 1-2 years of experience in Recovery 
  • Pleasant personality
  • Must possess good interpersonal skill set including negotiating skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and multitasking ability
  • Must have knowledge of Ms Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Must have a valid driving license and own vehicle
