- Coordinating picture shoots and assigning jobs to internal photographers.
- Specialized photographers and, if necessary, haggling over rates.
- Acquiring photo rights and authorization to take pictures in certain places as needed.
- Choosing images that enhance the text in the way that the editing team has envisioned.
- Editing and artistically placing images to go with sentences.
- Timely submission of photographic designs for approval.
- Obtaining editorial team comments and, where necessary, making the appropriate revisions.
- Keeping up with developments and market trends in the world of photo editing.
Requirements
- Bachelors or associate degree in photography, visual arts, or similar.
- 2-3 years of experience in photo editing, or similar.
- A thorough collection of instances pertaining to your job.
- A high level of expertise with photo editing programs like Lightroom, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Outstanding creative skills are evident in the engaging picture content.
- The capacity to work on projects with others and incorporate editorial criticism.
- Extensive knowledge of setting deadlines and organizing photography assignments.
- Thorough understanding of copyright and other pertinent clearances.
- Knowledge of current photography trends and associated technologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
