Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Maintenance:
- Perform routine, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance tasks on cable car systems and related mechanical components.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical systems to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the cable car.
- Identify and rectify mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime
Gas Cutting and Welding:
- Utilize gas cutting and welding techniques for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Fabricate and modify mechanical parts as needed for system repairs or upgrades.
Component Inspection:
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical components to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for required repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Actively participate in safety drills and implement corrective measures as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a senior fitter in an erection or operational site.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
- Proficient in gas cutting, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, gears, pulleys, and drive systems.
Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate a team of helpers.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in an industrial or operational setting.
