Descriptions
- Assist in maintaining inventory by tracking, labeling, and replacing key ingredients;
- Prepare meat by slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables;
- Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption;
- Cleaning the work station before and after food preparation;
- Grilling meat and vegetables at the right temperature and to suit the customer’s taste;
- Preparing meals in accordance with customers’ preferences, if applicable;
- Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner;
- Ensuring that your workstation remains clean and orderly at all times;
- Communicate with the restaurant manager about any kitchen supplies and upgrades that are needed;
- Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holiday’s, as required;
- Labeling and storing all food items properly and at the right temperature;
- Ensuring that the dish is served on time and in a presentable manner;
- Regulating the grill temperature to slow cook the meat;
- Training and supervising new grill cooks;
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards at all times;
- Managing multiple food orders at once;
- Able to perform additional duties as requested by the management as and when required.
